S&S Fire has always been a fire protection industry leader. In 1974, S&S was one of the first companies to install a large Halon system in New York City, in 1975 we added computerized hydraulic calculation, and we started using Computer Aided Design (CAD) in 1986. S&S continues to stay current with new technologies, with experience in ESFR, Quick Response sprinklers, and Water Mist Systems.
In 1986 S&S moved its corporate offices to Tappan, NY. Presently, S&S employs more than 50 people including office staff, engineers, pipe fitters and service personnel. S&S renovated its Tappan office space in 2002 to take advantage of new technology and now maintains a state of the art facility.
In 2011, S&S celebrated its 50th year in business. We have installed thousands of fire suppression systems successfully. We pride ourselves as always being on time and on budget. We work by the philosophy that if the project does not change in scope or schedule, our price does not change either.
S&S is also heavily committed to providing world class Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Services. We want our customers to know that when we install, inspect or service a system, they can be assured that it will work if and when it is ever needed. We are in the business of providing our customers peace of mind.
We are a value driven company. You can see those values by clicking on the “Values” tab. They have served us well. In 50 years of business, there has never been a loss of life in a building in which we have installed a fire suppression system. Our systems are 100% effective in preventing loss of life! S&S was founded in 1961 by Domenick and Sam Serrano in White Plains, NY. The company grew in its first decade to become one of the largest and most well respected companies in the New York area. In 1970 Domenick’s son, Domenick A. Serrano, joined the firm.
